Rozgar Mela held at 25 locations, appointment order given to 75,000 new recruits

Visakhapatnam Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Rozgar Mela–a recruitment drive for 10 lakh personnel on Saturday through video conferencing. Appointment letters were handed over to 75,000 newly inducted appointees throughout the country at 25 locations including Visakhapatnam here in Waltair Division of East Coast Railway.

The recruitment drive was done in 38 ministries/departments of Government of India throughout the country and at Visakhapatnam appointment was offered to 150 candidates in 8 ministries/ departments.

At Visakhapatnam, the Rozgar Mela was held at Port Kalavani Auditorium where Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary graced the occasion and handed over appointment letters to the candidate in presence of MP Visakhapatnam MVV Satyanarayana; MLC Shri PVN Madhav, Sanjay Pant, Chief Commissioner, Customs and Divisional Railway Manager Anup Satpathy.

In his address, the Prime Minister said that India has become the 5th biggest economy in the world because of the reforms undertaken in the last 8 years. He asserted that the efficiency of government departments has increased due to the efforts of " Karmayogis." He said that despite many big economies of world are struggling with inflation, unemployment; the Government of India continued its efforts to tap the best human resources to be inducted into the government service. This employment drive is an important milestone in government's efforts for employment, self-employment in the last 8 years.

Speaking on the occasion, where Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said that the large scale recruitment drive and collective rozgar mela organised to take 75,000 new recruits in 38 Ministries and Departments in various capacities.

He said government has decided that a tradition of giving appointment letters in one go should be started so that a collective temperament of completing projects in a time-bound way develops in various departments.

DRM Anup Satpathy said that it is the endeavour of the government to recruit the talented youth into the government services and create 10lakh jobs in next coming years.
