New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday spoke to US President Donald Trump, focusing on the crisis in the Middle East, US envoy Sergio Gor said. “President Donald Trump just spoke with Prime Minister Modi. They discussed the ongoing situation in the Middle East, including the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open,” Gor said on social media. The conversation between both leaders comes amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia which began following the February 28 strikes carried out by the United States and Israel on Iran, which resulted in the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
