Hyderabad: Maxivision Eye Hospital, a prominent eye care provider in India, has aggressive expansion plans in both Telugu States with an investment of Rs 192 crore. The company has recently raised an investment of Rs 1,400 crore from Singapore-based Quadria Capital. With this fund, it is expanding its network from 42 hospitals to 100 by the end of this year, and also enhancing world-class facilities in current hospitals.

“Asia’s largest Health care investor Quadria Capital has already released Rs 700 crore in the first tranche and it is ready to give the rest of the fund based on our business expansion plan. As on today, we have 42 eye care centres across India, including 22 in Telangana and six in Andhra Pradesh,” VS Sudheer, CEO of Maxivision Group of Eye Hospitals told Bizz Buzz.

“We are planning to add 18 eye care centres in Telangana and 14 in Andhra Pradesh to have around 40 and 20 centres in the two Telugu States respectively over next 2-3 years. The company will be investing about Rs 6 crore on each new centre, so totally it will spend close to Rs 192 crore for setting up these hospitals,” he informed.

“Maxivision would like to treat all patients equally, with the same technology across the centres. We have a hub and spoke model of expansion with an objective to cater to the needs of the entire gamut of eye care with the best technology even to the remotest locations in Telangana and AP,” Sudheer said at the extension of facilities in their Somajiguda branch in Hyderabad.

“We are always focused on enhancing existing facilities and upgrading the technology to the best in the world. This new expansion of the EHS floor and an EHS OT complex is tailored to the unique needs of EHS patients. Maxivision Eye Hospital’s expansion reaffirms its commitment to providing accessible, high-quality eye care services to a wide range of patients, especially in tier-2 & 3 cities,” he added.

After inaugurating the extended facility, CV Anand, City Police Commissioner, said: “The establishment of Maxivision’s EHS floor is a testament to their unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence in eye care. The center was headed by the Founder and Mentor of Maxivision, Dr Kasu Prasad Reddy, one of the top 10 ophthalmologists in the country. He and his dedicated and experienced team of surgeons, with an average experience of over 20 years in super specialties of eye care have been operating in this place since 2010, and as of today, over 1 million patients have been treated here in this facility.
