India Vs Pak World Cup Excitement Fuels Soaring TV Sales in India: Xiaomi, LG leading brands

As the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup captures the attention of cricket enthusiasts across India, many are tuning in to witness the latest cricketing action on their television screens.

Notably, brands such as Xiaomi, LG, Sony, and Panasonic are experiencing high demand and struggling to meet the market's needs.

The India vs. Pakistan World Cup rivalry has ignited a surge in TV sales across India, with Xiaomi and LG leading the way. Despite ongoing Shradhh rituals that traditionally discourage buying new items, cricket enthusiasts are flocking to purchase television screens. Brands like Xiaomi, LG, Sony, and Panasonic are grappling with overwhelming demand, particularly for larger screens. Online retailers have also contributed to this trend by offering special discounts and deals. This exceptional excitement aligns with the highly anticipated India-Pakistan match.

Online retailers have also played a role in boosting sales by hosting festive sales in India, offering bank discounts and a variety of enticing offers to customers. This increased demand for TVs coincides with the excitement surrounding the Indian cricket team's strong performance, particularly with the highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash on the horizon.

Gireesan Gopi, Business Head of Home Entertainment at LG India, shared insights into the market, stating that sales of larger TVs, especially those with 55-inch screens and above, have more than doubled compared to the Shradhh period last year.

Sony India's Managing Director, Sunil Nayyar, echoed a similar sentiment, noting that bigger screen models, such as 75-inch and 85-inch screens, are gaining popularity during the Cricket World Cup.

For potential TV buyers, it's advisable to explore different display technologies like OLED, QLED, and traditional IPS LCD panels while considering specific requirements for their display. For example, while OLED panels offer exceptional picture quality, they may not be suitable for very bright rooms. It's essential to conduct thorough research to ensure the chosen television aligns with personal preferences and needs.
