GMR Aero Technic partners with Lufthansa Technik, Spirit Aero Systems

In a groundbreaking move, GMR Aero Technic (GAT), the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) division of GMR Air Cargo and Aerospace Engineering Ltd. (GACAEL), unveiled key partnerships with Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT) and Spirit Aero Systems at the Wings India 2024 event held in Hyderabad.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formalized between GAT and LHT, solidifying a collaboration to introduce the innovative Cyclean® technology to Indian airports. This initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency for regional operators by implementing an eco-friendly engine cleaning system that not only saves water and fuel but also significantly reduces emissions.

Cyclean ensures a clean and safe collection of waste water without adverse environmental impacts, reinforcing GMR Aero Technic’s commitment to sustainability in aviation.

Furthermore, a strategic partnership was established with Spirit Aero Systems, a global leader in aero structures manufacturing. This collaboration pioneers a state-of-the-art Aircraft Nacelle component repair service at the GMR Aero Technic Base Maintenance Facility in Hyderabad.
