Mumbai: Economic Survey 2025-26 talks about the strong fundamentals of Indian Economy with favourable growth, inflation contained, with likely healthy rainfall agriculture prospects are good, external liabilities are low, banks are healthy with strong financials, with better liquidity conditions, banks credit growth is encouraging, corporate balance sheets are comfortable. According to the report, the rupee's valuation does not accurately reflect India's steller economic fundamentals. In other , words, the rupee, therefore, is punching below its weight.

Talking to Bizz Buzz, M Narendra, former CMD of IOB says,

"In various scenarios, the report states that India is relatively better off than most of other countries due its strong Macro Economic Fundamentals. With a large domestic market, a less financialised growth model, strong foreign exchange reserves and a credible degree of strategic economy."

India has to have enough buffers from the fiscal management perspective in this period of uncertainty and at the same time continuing with its structural reforms, capex focus, judicial expenditure control, expansion of resources base, take full advantage of all schemes like PLI, taking forward initiatives on AI, Research & Development and attract domestic and international foreign investments with ease of doing business and open policy, he said.

Rajeev Tiwari, Co-founder and CFO, STEMROBO Technologies said, “The Economic Survey 2025’s emphasis on deregulation in education is critical to shifting from process-centric compliance to outcome driven learning." Today, roughly 75 per cent of Indian higher education institutions aren’t considered industry ready, and only 8.6 per cent report full alignment of curricula with workplace requirements, reflecting systemic barriers to equipping students for jobs. At the same time, over half (52 per cent) of institutions now offer micro credentials for academic credit and 95 per cent of education leaders agree these credentials improve employability, showing innovation in curriculum and skills focused learning is gaining traction. Artificial Intelligence is also reshaping how education is delivered. According to a recent report, over 60 per cent of Indian higher education institutions now allow students to use AI tools, including generative AI for learning materials, tutoring, and adaptive platforms, underscoring how technology is enhancing personalized and practical learning.

A transparent, trust based regulatory environment can empower institutions to adopt modern teaching methods, embrace AI enabled learning, industry aligned curricula, and flexible models, ultimately improving access, quality, and relevance of education for real world careers, he said.
