The Telangana State office of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) said it organised its flagship event, Corporate Greenathon, for corporate professionals, on Sunday. Over 1,000 corporate professionals, including select CEOs took part in the 3k, 5k, and 10k categories.
The fourth edition was flagged off by C Shekar Reddy, Chairman, CII Telangana and CMD, CSR Estates Pvt Ltd; Dr B Bhaskar Rao, Convenor, CII Telangana Healthcare Panel and CMD, Kims Hospitals; Rashida Adewala, president, TiE Hyderabad; V Suresh, Director, NMDC Ltd; Dileep Kumar Mohanty, Director, NMDC Ltd and V S Ram, Convenor, Manufacturing 4.0 Panel and vice president, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. CII Telangana office said, “The event aimed at encouraging corporate professionals to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle be following a fitness regime. The run also witnessed participation of individuals who had recovered from heart attacks, showcasing their fitness level by taking part in the challenging 10k marathon.”
Addressing the runners, Dr B Bhaskar Rao emphasised on the importance of regular exercise and sleeping for eight hours as the essentials for all citizens. He also announced Rs 1 lakh coverage health card for the winners of the Greenathon, as an additional recognition.
