Saving fuel is essential for a number of reasons, especially in a country like India where petrol is a major source of energy for transportation. One of these reasons is cost savings, which is crucial for those with limited financial resources but rely heavily on two-wheelers for their mode of transportation. This is especially important in places with a high population density where two-wheelers are a common means. In order to achieve the nation's overall development goals, it is also everyone's obligation to reduce fuel consumption and thereby environmental effect.

Poor maintenance, heavy loads or inappropriate load distribution, traffic conditions, mechanical problems, tyre condition and other minor concerns are some of the primary causes of the increased fuel, primarily petrol, consumption in India among individuals who use two-wheelers.

Bikers are now installing a flat sheet permanently at the safety bar that covers them from getting spill of any puddle while driving, which is creating 'extra fuel consumption in order to avoid a spill of water, especially during rains'.

In order to maintain the intended speed or to reach the destination, more fuel will be required due to the permanent fix of the sheet at the location of the safety bar, which will lead to an aerodynamic problem called drag. This type of two-wheeler's aerodynamics and design may have an influence on fuel economy and also suffer higher resistance, leading to an increase in fuel consumption. Additionally, individuals need to be aware that slowing down while approaching puddles or other wet places can lessen the splashing impact and reduce the probability that water will reach your feet. Mud flaps are one more approach that may be used to prevent spills at the feet.

The fuel economy improves by five per cent on the highway and by roughly two per cent in the city as a result of reduction in pressure by a biker. So, anticipate raising public awareness through encouraging fuel efficiency and conservation through different campaigns and regulations and avoid such jugaad things, which will lead to additional fuel consumption.

Everyone should support these measures. This also may help the country achieve its overall development goals by adopting fuel-saving habits.
