The member of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) and Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO) along with their parent organisation Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) organised and participated in Shramadaan, the Swachhata Hi Seva (Garbage Free India) initiative at Government Degree College for Women, Begumpet in Hyderabad on Sunday morning.

As many as 58 NSS volunteers of Government Degree College also participated in the one-hour Shramadaan. “FLO national body has given a call for all its chapters across India to participate in the initiative in response to the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a nationwide cleanliness drive. We have undertaken this programme here,” said Ritu Shah, Chairperson of FLO.

Swachh Bharat, or the Clean India Mission, is not just a campaign; it’s a call to action, a pledge to transform our nation’s landscape and mindset. It was launched with an objective to make India clean, green, and beautiful. A garbage-free India is more than just picking up litter or cleaning up our streets; it’s about a profound shift in how we perceive our environment and our role in safeguarding it. It’s a call to consciousness, to embrace cleanliness, and sustainability as a way of life, and not just a civic duty,” said Arthi Shah, Chairperson of YFLO.
