Mumbai: As an impact of the Bizz Buzz story, which was carried in its edition dated April 10, relieving orders have been issued to the EPFO officials in question, asking them to join their new place of posting within three days of the issuance of the order.

The earlier story by this newspaper had mentioned that even after being handed over the transfer order to other places, there are quite a few officials were found working at existing EPFO office in Mumbai, defying the transfer orders.

Three such cases had come to the fore so far in Mumbai and Aurangabad, as per sources.

The Bizz Buzz story had raised the moot question that how come one sit and work in the same present place office, after being transferred from higher authority to other places.

In another development, S Manohar Naidu, deputy director (vigilance), who has also received the transfer orders and been relieved from his present post of posting, has gone on leave until April 17. Naidu, on completion of his deputation order, has been repatriated to his parent cadre with immediate effect, says the transfer order dated April 12.

However, in sheer violation of norms, the officials have initiated investigations in a remarkable number of cases from their existing offices even after being transferred to new places.
