Hyderabad, Dec.1 (NSS): In a major breakthrough, Dundigal police solved a high-profile jewellery burglary at Someshwar Jewellery, Bowrampet, arresting three interstate offenders and recovering 15 kg of stolen silver. According to the police, the crime occurred between the night of November 7 and the morning of November 8, 2025, when the accused rented a shutter beside the jewellery shop, drilled a hole into the adjoining wall using a crowbar, and fled with the silver. The gang travelled in a Bolero vehicle and later sold the stolen property in Bengaluru. Following swift investigation by the crime team and CCS Medchal, the police arrested accused Chetan Prakash and Sirajuddin in Rajasthan on November 19, while the third accused, Kaluram alias Kalu Kag, was nabbed at Bahadurpally, Dundigal on November 26. Police recovered 3.5 kg of silver from Kaluram and the remaining property from the other two accused in Bengaluru. Efforts are underway to trace three more absconding suspects. The arrests were made under the supervision of ACPs Ch Shankar Reddy and Y Nageswara Rao along with officers from Dundigal PS and CCS Medchal. Police urged the public to verify documents and background details of tenants before renting out premises to prevent such offences.
