UST inaugurates new Hyderabad office, plans to expand workforce to 4,000

UST, a digital transformation solutions company, has officially opened its new office at the International Tech Park in Hyderabad, spanning 1.18 lakh sq ft and capable of accommodating 2,000 employees. This facility will serve as a hub for cutting-edge research and development in emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and the Internet of Things (IoT).

The inauguration ceremony, held on Wednesday, was officiated by Telangana IT and Industries Secretary Jayesh Ranjan. UST has ambitious plans for expansion in Hyderabad, with intentions to double its current headcount to 4,000 employees over the next 2-3 years, according to a senior company official.

UST, boasting a workforce of over 30,000 across 30 countries, initially began operations in Hyderabad with 250 employees, gradually increasing to 1,000 employees by 2021. In addition to its presence in Hyderabad, the company operates software delivery and development centers in various Indian cities, including Bengaluru, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Pune, Coimbatore, Hosur, and Delhi NCR.

Alexander Varghese, Chief Operating Officer at UST, emphasized that this expansion aims to tap into the local talent pool, reinforcing capabilities across strategic domains and technologies. The new Hyderabad office is set to be a hub for diverse activities, including the development of SAS platform practices and research and development in AI, CIS, and engineering. Over the next two years, the site is expected to evolve into a global capability center to cater to growing demands in sectors such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, telecom, manufacturing, retail, and insurance.
