TiE Hyd launches Grad Plus
The Hyderabad Chapter of global entrepreneurship organisation, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) launched TiE Grad Plus, a worldwide entrepreneurship programme designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and inspire innovative business ideas among students.

Hyderabad The Hyderabad Chapter of global entrepreneurship organisation, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) launched TiE Grad Plus, a worldwide entrepreneurship programme designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset and inspire innovative business ideas among students. Through the programme, TiE aims to reach 50 colleges, three lakh students and generate 800 business ideas.
Prof D Ravinder, Vice–Chancellor, Osmania University and Dr D Vijay Kumar, Director, Osmania Foundation launched the initiative. Beginning in September, with many activities along the way, the programme will conclude in March 2024 with a finale, called as Business Ideas Tournament. The prize money is $15,000.
Murali Bukkapatnam, Trustee, TiE Global said, “We will engage the target group through a multitude of competitions and workshops. This initiative, led by entrepreneurs themselves, serves as a guiding light for students.”
Among many highlights of this year-long programme is Biz Hack Boot Camp which is likely to be conducted in January and February 2024. It will be a four-day inter-college round to shortlist the final teams. Prof D Ravinder spoke about the role of higher education institutions and regulatory bodies like UGC in fostering the aspirations of young entrepreneurs. “Osmanians are found everywhere. The University is also fostering entrepreneurship on par with the best of the best in the ecosystem. Right mentoring at an early stage is important for a budding entrepreneur,” he said.
