Manoj Dobhal is proposed by Dish TV India as its new CEO

The board of directors of Dish TV India has proposed the appointment of Manoj Dobhal as the company's new CEO following the resignation of Anil Dua.

The board advised Dobhal to seek approval from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) for his appointment after Dua resigned on May 23.

In the days following the merger between Dish TV and d2H in May 2017, Dua played a vital role in navigating the complicated post-merger process. The company underwent technological upgrades, introduced smart devices, unveiled the Android box, and launched an OTT aggregation service under his leadership.

In order to facilitate a smooth transition, Dua will continue to serve as CEO for another three months. As the company enters a new and exciting phase, he anticipates working closely with Manoj Dobhal throughout the transition.

The current COO of Dish TV, Manoj Dobhal, has extensive experience in operational and strategic roles with brands such as Colgate, Dabur, Reliance Communication, Tata Play, and IndiaCast Media.

During his 24-year career, Dobhal has held leadership positions in sales, distribution, marketing, field service, customer engagement, and retention. Besides his MBA (PGDBM) from Apeejay Institute of Management, Delhi, he holds a bachelor's degree in Electronics (Honours) from the University of Delhi.
