Hyderabad: Mahindra Tractors, a division of the Mahindra Group and a major tractor manufacturer has launched the Mahindra OJA 3140 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This tractor, designed for the Indian farmer, made its debut during the kharif season and demonstrated strong performance in puddling operations for crops like paddy. With this successful launch, Mahindra anticipates good demand for the OJA 3140 in the upcoming rabi season.
The Mahindra OJA 3140 is a lightweight 4WD tractor designed to handle various agricultural tasks efficiently. It features a 3-cylinder 29.82 kW (40hp) engine @2500 RPM, offering class-leading power delivery and operational efficiency. Equipped with a segment-first constant mesh gearbox configuration with synchro shuttle and 12 Forward + 12 Reverse gears, this tractor enables farmers to work faster in smaller farms.
With a hydraulic lift capacity of 950 kg, the OJA 3140 is suitable for orchard farming and puddling operations, offering enhanced manoeuvrability with its smooth power steering system. Additionally, it provides farmers with better visibility and a 360-degree view of their work and implements.
Priced competitively at Rs7.35 lakh in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the Mahindra OJA 3140 includes Mahindra’s advanced technology packs – PROJA, MYOJA, and ROBOJA. These technology packs aim to enhance productivity and efficiency for farmers. PROJA, known as The Productivity Pack, focuses on reducing manual interventions and operator fatigue with features like Creeper Mode for precision operation and Tilt & Telescopic Steering for operator comfort.
MYOJA, or the Telematics Pack, empowers farmers with real-time data on location, fuel usage, and tractor health through a mobile phone application. This allows for better maintenance planning and monitoring of the tractor's performance.
ROBOJA, the Automation Pack, provides advanced automation features such as Auto PTO for effortless engagement, Auto Implement Lift for automatic lifting and lowering of implements, and Auto One-Side Braking for intelligent brake application during turns.
The Mahindra OJA 3140 is part of the new Mahindra OJA series, a lightweight tractor platform developed through collaboration between Mahindra Research Valley in India and Mitsubishi Mahindra Agriculture Machinery in Japan. This innovative range of tractors aims to deliver cutting-edge technology to farmers worldwide.
Following its launch in India, the OJA range will be introduced in various countries including North America, ASEAN, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, Europe, and the SAARC region. The Mahindra OJA tractor range is manufactured at Mahindra's tractor facility in Zaheerabad, Telangana, known for its advanced manufacturing capabilities.
