On September 27, Lulu Group, a UAE-based retailer, opened its first shopping mall in Hyderabad and reaffirmed its commitment to invest ₹3,500 crore in various projects in Telangana. These projects include a 2 million square feet destination mall, a state-of-the-art food processing facility, and support for the local fishing community.

M.A. Yusuff Ali, the Chairman of Lulu Group, expressed his enthusiasm for this venture and announced plans for an export-oriented food processing facility in Hyderabad, which will include meat processing. Additionally, the group intends to establish a seafood procurement and processing center in Siricilla, the constituency of Telangana's Industries and IT Minister, K.T. Rama Rao.

The chairman also stated that Lulu Group has committed ₹3,500 crore over the next three years for various projects, including destination shopping malls, mini malls, and agricultural produce sourcing, logistics, and processing hubs. These initiatives aim to promote Telangana products both within India and overseas.

Minister K.T. Rama Rao expressed optimism that Lulu Group's investment would surpass the ₹3,500 crore commitment and emphasized that these projects would benefit the youth of Telangana through job opportunities and contribute to the income of farmers, fishermen, and poultry workers in the state.

Mr. Rao mentioned on social media, likely X (formerly Twitter), that the opening of the Lulu Mall is a fantastic addition to Hyderabad's retail landscape and congratulated Lulu Group on the inauguration of the 5 lakh sq. ft mall, which marks the first-ever Lulu Mall in Telangana.
