Lanka Special Steels unveils new product range in Indian market
Launches its first-ever overseas office in Hyderabad, with emphasis on global expansion for diversification
Hyderabad, April 23: Lanka Special Steels Limited (Lanka SSL), the pioneer in the GI wire Industry in Sri Lanka with a rich history of 25-years as a leading manufacturer of galvanised steel wire, introduced its flagship international brands, 'Lanka Special Steels Poultry 300' and 'Lanka Special Steels Premium 100'. These products target niche markets in India, particularly in the poultry and fencing sectors.
During the opening of the Hyderabad office, SDR Arudpragasam, Chairman of EB Creasy Group, emphasised that the Lanka SSL as the market leader in Sri Lanka, has established itself as a global player in the industry. He also emphasised the importance of global expansion and diversification.
He added in his speech, that Lanka SSL will contribute in no small measures to the growing needs in the poultry industry in India by providing a high-quality product. This will help the tenderfoots in the poultry market to make their capital investment with long-life guarantee.
Utilising high-quality raw materials from reputed suppliers like JSW Steel, TATA Steel, and Hindustan Zinc, Lanka Special Steels ensures top-notch finished products. Their galvanised steel wires cater to various industries, including poultry industry, chain-link fencing, and more.
The official announcement of the new product lines took place at a press conference attended by officials from Lanka Special Steels Limited and Salem Weld Mesh, their Indian distributor. Pravin De Silva, Director and CEO of Lanka Special Steels, said: "Our products are manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility with a capacity of 30,000 MT per annum and hold SLS and BIS certifications."
Uday Singh Bayas and Chakradhara Rao from the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association endorsed the product quality, adding credibility to the launch.Notably, Lanka Special Steels has received recognition at the National Convention on Quality and Productivity (NCQP) Awards 2010 to 2023. Their galvanized steel wire further backed by a 25-year service life guarantee at its best conditions, validated by research conducted by the premier leading University in Sri Lanka, the University of Moratuwa.
