Amazon's World's Largest Campus in Hyderabad Showcases 'Happening Hyderabad'

Telangana Minister KTR responded to Anand Mahindra's tweet about Google's second-largest office opening in Hyderabad, emphasizing that Hyderabad is the preferred location for several global tech giants. In addition to Google, KTR listed major players such as Amazon, Apple, Meta, Uber, and Salesforce, among others, with significant campuses in Hyderabad. He dubbed the city as 'Happening Hyderabad' due to its stature as a hub for various technology giants.

Anand Mahindra had previously praised India's rapid growth, particularly noting Google's geopolitical statement by choosing Hyderabad for its second-largest campus outside the US.

KTR highlighted that Amazon boasts the world's largest campus in Hyderabad, illustrating the city's prominence in the tech industry. The minister's response aimed to showcase the diverse range of globally renowned companies that have established substantial campuses in Hyderabad.

AHMM, the British design agency overseeing the Google project, revealed that the purpose-built campus in Hyderabad, spanning over 3 million square feet, is set to be the largest Google-owned and operated new build project outside of their Mountain View headquarters. The construction is expected to complete in 2026, providing a workspace for 18,000 users and celebrating the enduring qualities of shared space and place-making.
