Hyderabad: CIE-IIIT Hyderabad and the Royal Academy of Engineering have launched a tech startup cohort for the UK, selecting eight startups in sustainable development domains. The program offers mentoring in India and connections with prospects and investors in the UK.

CIE serves as the Indian partner for the UK program. The Royal Academy of Engineering's Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIF) program aims to nurture scalable innovations addressing global challenges. CIE-IIIT Hyderabad is the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Indian partner.

The selected Indian startups for this program are Nariksha Pads, Pola, Quavilon, ASHA+, Hydroverse, SmartKosh, Revalu, and Precue. Through LIF programs, they receive support such as training, mentoring, and access to an international network to commercialize their technologies in the UK.

These innovators will work on impactful solutions for the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The LIF program offers tailored support with training, mentoring, and access to a network of experts and resources. Supported by the UK's Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology, these programs promote sustainable development globally.

Funded by the UK Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology’s International Science Partnership Fund and facilitated by The Royal Academy of Engineering, these programs foster global innovation with local impact.

Prof. Ramesh Loganathan, COO of CIE-IIIT Hyderabad, stated, "We are thrilled to collaborate with the Royal Academy of Engineering in this initiative, highlighting our commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship and driving positive change through engineering solutions."

The India training event being held in Goa provided a platform for startups to showcase innovations, interact with industry experts, and explore collaboration and investment opportunities.
