Hyderabad's Shakti Hormann to Invest Rs 175 Crore in Jaipur Manufacturing Unit

Shakti Hormann, a Hyderabad-based company specializing in the production of doors for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, has announced its intention to invest Rs 175 crore in establishing a new manufacturing facility in Jaipur. The forthcoming unit will primarily serve northern markets and emphasize the production of engineered wood doors, as stated by C Shashidar Reddy, Managing Director of Shakti Hormann.

In addition to this expansion, the company has unveiled plans for two experience centers, one in Hyderabad and another in New Delhi.

"We are in the process of setting up a new manufacturing plant in Mahendra World City, Jaipur, with a production capacity of 1,30,000 doors annually, entailing an investment of over Rs 175 crore. The new facility is expected to commence operations in the second quarter of 2024," Reddy revealed. The forthcoming manufacturing plant will occupy 20 acres and contribute to the creation of more than 150 direct jobs and over 300 indirect jobs within the local community, fostering economic development.

Currently, Shakti Hormann operates a facility in Gagillapur near Hyderabad, capable of producing over 2,00,000 custom-made doors, door frames, and more than 10,000 industrial doors per year, catering to a wide range of sectors, including industrial, commercial, public buildings, institutions, hospitality, hospitals, and airports.

Reddy emphasized the scarcity of branded factory-finished doors and exclusive experience stores in India as the motivation behind the establishment of experience centers. Presently, the company sells approximately 1,10,000 doors annually, generating a revenue of Rs 270 crore. The price range for residential doors spans from Rs 10,000 to Rs 2.5 lakh, while commercial doors range from Rs 15,000 to Rs 6 lakhs, and industrial doors are priced at Rs 60,000 and above.
