Flipkart races up for 10-15 minute delivery services across Hyderabad, Delhi, Bengaluru in coming days

Flipkart, India's prominent e-commerce platform, is gearing up to join the rapid commerce sector by introducing 10-15 minute delivery services across Hyderabad, Delhi (NCR), and Bangalore within the next six to eight weeks, as reported by Entracker.

A spokesperson from Flipkart confirmed the company's commitment to swiftly deliver a diverse range of products including books, electronics, clothing, mobile phones, household appliances, and lifestyle items.

This strategic move positions Flipkart in direct competition with established players like Zepto, Swiggy's Instamart, and Zomato's Blinkit, all of which have made significant strides in the rapid commerce domain.

With the aim to enhance its delivery capabilities and meet evolving customer demands, Flipkart is aligning its focus towards rapid commerce. The rapid commerce sector in India presents a lucrative opportunity with an estimated addressable market of approximately USD 45 billion (Rs 37,23,16,95,00,000).

In response to the evolving landscape of e-commerce, Flipkart has introduced new services such as delivering cakes and flowers during the Valentine's season, along with same-day delivery options across 20 locations.

The rapid expansion of key players in the quick commerce arena, including Zepto, Blinkit, and Swiggy Instamart, has bolstered investor confidence in the industry's potential. Zepto recently completed a unicorn round, Blinkit witnessed a remarkable resurgence, and Swiggy Instamart experienced substantial growth.
