The Cubbon Park Police in Bengaluru have registered an FIR against One8 Commune, a restaurant owned by star cricketer Virat Kohli. The FIR, filed on Tuesday, July 9, cites the restaurant's manager and other staff for operating and serving customers beyond the permitted closing time of 1 am.

According to the police, One8 Commune was found operating at 1:20 am on July 6th, in violation of the city's operating time restrictions. The DCP Central reported, "We have booked around 3-4 pubs for running late till 1:30 am last night. We received complaints of loud music being played. Pubs were allowed to remain open only till 1 am and not beyond that."

One8 Commune, located on the sixth floor of Ratnam's Complex on Kasturba Road, offers scenic views of Cubbon Park and the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Launched in December of last year, it has quickly become a popular dining and socializing destination in Bengaluru. The restaurant caters to a diverse clientele, including couples, groups celebrating milestones, and families, and is known for its community-oriented design and Instagram-worthy decor.

Despite being a recent entrant in the Bengaluru market, One8 Commune's popularity is bolstered by Virat Kohli's strong association with the city through his involvement with the local IPL team, the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

This incident marks a setback for the restaurant, which is part of a chain with locations in several major cities across India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Kolkata.
