Herb Heaven, a Kashmir-based wellness brand, is redefining the reach of traditional remedies through its curated range of herbal teas, saffron-infused honeys, and therapeutic superfoods. Evolving from a 60-year-old family legacy in saffron cultivation, the company has grown from a trusted B2B supplier into a global wellness brand, now retailing over 20 products across eight countries.

“In today’s world, people are seeking wellness with purpose. We aim to deliver that through authentic Himalayan treasures,” says Mohsin Mir, Director of Growth and Business Development at Herb Heaven. In an interview with Bizz Buzz, Mir outlines the company’s transformation—from its roots in Pampore’s saffron fields to partnerships with luxury hospitality chains like Hyatt and Radisson. With plans to expand into North America and launch a bespoke e-commerce platform, Herb Heaven is eyeing 15 per cent CAGR over the next three years. At its core, the brand blends purity, science, and Kashmiri storytelling.


How did Herb Heaven evolve over the years?

Herb Heaven’s journey began over 60 years ago as a dedicated saffron manufacturer and supplier, deeply rooted in Kashmir’s rich agricultural traditions. The business was founded by our grandfather, Abdul Rashid Mir, who established a strong reputation for sourcing and supplying pure, authentic Kashmiri saffron.

Under the leadership of his son, Musadiq Mir, the company thrived for decades as a trusted supplier in the saffron trade. In 2019, the third generation—Monis Mir, Mohsin Mir, and Mehak Mir—took the helm and revitalized the business with a renewed vision. They identified a critical market gap: consumers were not receiving Kashmiri products in their purest, highest-quality form. With a full-time commitment, they undertook structural reforms and launched a retail brand under Herb Heaven, setting the stage for broader ambitions and global reach.

Traditionally a B2B supplier for the Ayurveda, pharmaceutical, dairy, and food service industries, Herb Heaven launched its first two retail products in 2019. The retail line has since grown rapidly to include over 20 products by 2025. In 2024, the company expanded further by opening a new chain of outlet stores as a sister concern, managed directly by Herb Heaven.

Today, Herb Heaven operates across two primary verticals:

B2B (Bulk Supply): Supplying premium-grade saffron and natural health foods to sectors such as luxury hospitality (including brands like Hyatt, Taj, and Radisson), wellness, pharmaceuticals, and food services.

Retail Range: Offering a growing portfolio of 20+ wellness and natural health products, including saffron, herbal teas, dry fruits, and Himalayan specialty foods.

Herb Heaven’s products are now available in eight countries and counting. As the brand continues to grow, we remain committed to innovation while preserving the values of authenticity and quality that defined our beginnings.

Looking ahead, our focus includes strategic retail expansion, luxury brand collaborations, and the launch of a new e-commerce platform—furthering our mission of delivering authentic Himalayan treasures to the world.

What is the financial status of the company, and what kind of growth do you forecast for the next three years?

While specific revenue figures remain confidential, Herb Heaven stands on a strong and sustainable financial foundation built over five decades. We have achieved consistent profitability through our long-standing B2B saffron operations and successful diversification into retail health foods.

Our partnerships with luxury hotel chains (Hyatt, Taj, Radisson) and expansion into eight international markets provide steady revenue streams. Our presence is particularly stable in the Middle East (notably with Lulu Hypermarkets), and we are increasing our footprint in retail supermarket chains across India. A new e-commerce platform is under active development to enhance direct-to-consumer reach, projected to add another 15 per cent revenue to the company.

Our operations are supported by vertically integrated sourcing and quality control systems that ensure supply chain efficiency and brand trust at scale.

What is your distribution strategy and how do your products reach customers quickly and safely?

Herb Heaven primarily operates on a direct-to-client model, maintaining close, personalized relationships with manufacturers, retailers, and hospitality clients through a team of dedicated Business Development Managers.

Retail Presence: Our retail products are already available across major supermarket chains in the Middle East; In India, we supply to premium retailers and operate our own company-owned Herb Heaven Outlet Stores: We are actively developing our own e-commerce platform to serve customers directly and are in the onboarding process with Amazon and other reputable online marketplaces.

B2B Operations: We manage B2B relationships directly, as each order is custom-tailored based on the specific needs of the client. Our specialized sales and product teams work one-on-one with businesses across the wellness, hospitality, pharmaceutical, and food sectors to ensure seamless execution and lasting partnerships.

Future Expansion: We aim to establish selective partnerships with high-quality distributors in India to strengthen our physical retail footprint while retaining control over brand experience and product integrity.

Which are your major export markets?

Our strongest export markets are the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries—including UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia—and Australia. Additionally, Canada and the United States are emerging as highly promising markets, with growing interest from both retail and wholesale clients.
