What inspired you to establish BabyOrgano in 2020?

At BabyOrgano, what inspired us was a genuine concern for the well-being of Indian babies and kids. While there were numerous natural care brands in India importing herbs from around the world, there was a notable absence of brands that were solely dedicated to the needs of Indian children. As we recognised the inherent suitability of Indian herbs for children we saw an opportunity to harness the rich knowledge of ayurveda. Our journey began with a passion for providing authentic ayurvedic solutions and clean-labelled baby and kids care products. We aimed to create a brand that drew inspiration from the timeless wisdom of our grandmothers' homemade recipes.

BabyOrgano was founded with a vision to blend the best of ayurveda with the need to represent health and wellness. Our commitment is to provide a range of baby and kids care products that parents can trust, inspired by the time-tested wisdom of our ancestors.

How does BabyOrgano contribute to addressing the limited availability of ayurvedic products in the baby care sector?

At BabyOrgano, our commitment to addressing the limited availability of ayurvedic products in the baby care sector stems from a deep understanding of the unique needs of Indian families and a recognition of the challenges within the ayurvedic consumer market in our country. While the export market for ayurvedic products is significant, the domestic consumer market in India faces challenges such as lack of awareness and standardization. And as BabyOrgano recognised the potential to bridge this gap, we took the initiative to cater specifically to the needs of babies and kids in the ayurvedic space. We identified a crucial niche in the market, the absence of a dedicated ayurvedic brand focusing on baby and kids care.

In response to this, BabyOrgano emerged as India's first dedicated ayurvedic baby care health, wellness and personal care brand. By specializing in ayurvedic solutions for babies and kids, we contribute to filling the void in the market and bringing forth a range of products that meet the highest standards of quality and authenticity.

Could you elaborate on the need to reintroduce the cultural heritage of ayurveda in the context of baby care?

In recent times, there has been a global shift towards embracing ayurveda, yoga, and meditation as part of a holistic and healthy lifestyle. While western culture has increasingly adopted these practices, we understand that in our pursuit of modernity, we, as a society, may have somewhat overlooked our rich cultural heritage. Ayurveda, with its ancient wisdom and holistic approach to well-being, holds solutions for a myriad of health concerns. As nuclear families have become more prevalent, the passing down of this valuable knowledge within households has diminished. Many mothers may have lost touch with the profound teachings of ayurveda, leaving a gap in the understanding of how traditional practices can benefit the health and development of their children.

BabyOrgano steps in to address this gap by reintroducing ayurveda into the lives of those who wish to nurture their kids with time-tested principles of our cultural heritage. Through our range of ayurvedic baby care products, we aim to be a guiding light for mothers and grandmothers and provide them with accessible and reliable solutions which are deeply rooted in ayurvedic principles. By incorporating ayurveda into baby care, we not only offer effective products but also strive to rekindle the awareness and appreciation for our cultural heritage.

How would you describe the current landscape of the ayurvedic baby care market?

In the ever-evolving landscape of the ayurvedic baby care market, BabyOrgano finds itself at the forefront of a burgeoning industry which is marked by promising growth and heightened consumer interest. With the recent recognition of ayurveda as an alternative medicine by WHO there has been a significant shift which created a ripple effect across various sectors, including baby care. The aftermath of the pandemic has been transformative, with a staggering 90 per cent surge in demand for ayurvedic products.

As people are starting to place their trust in the ancient wisdom of ayurveda, we at BabyOrgano are witnessing a plethora of opportunities within the ayurvedic baby care sector.

This newfound belief in ayurveda has translated into a diverse range of prospects for us. Parents and caregivers are actively seeking safe, natural, and time-tested remedies for their little ones, aligning perfectly with the ethos of Ayurveda. As ayurveda gains wider acceptance and recognition, our commitment to providing high-quality, Ayurvedic baby care solutions positions our brand as a trusted partner in the well-being of the newest members of the family. The future looks promising, and we are excited to be pioneers in shaping the ayurvedic baby care landscape for the benefit of families worldwide.

What factors have contributed to the growing demand for ayurvedic products in the baby care sector?

The growing demand for ayurvedic products in the baby care sector can be attributed to a confluence of factors, marking a paradigm shift in consumer preferences. At BabyOrgano, we recognize and embrace these dynamics that are reshaping the industry. Post the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a profound realization across society regarding the significance of immunity. People now understand that building and sustaining immunity is an ongoing process. This newfound awareness has prompted a discerning consumer base to look out for solutions that align with natural and time-tested approaches like ayurveda. Parents are increasingly inclined towards incorporating homemade and ayurvedic products into their baby care routines as a means of creating long-term well-being.

At BabyOrgano, our Ayurvedic baby products are crafted with utmost care using the wisdom of Ayurveda to provide solutions that contribute to the overall health and immunity of infants. The trust placed in our brand is proof towards growing confidence in ayurvedic principles for nurturing the health of the youngest members of the family. As consumers are looking for transparency in the ingredients used in baby care products, the natural and herbal elements of ayurveda resonate strongly. Our commitment to quality and authenticity aligns seamlessly with the discerning preferences of parents who prioritize the well-being of their children.

How can brands ensure the authenticity of their ayurvedic and plant-based products?

Ensuring the authenticity of our ayurvedic and plant-based products is at the core of our commitment to quality and consumer trust. We take several measures to guarantee the genuine nature of our offerings. One of our key assets in this pursuit is Dr Urvi Ashani, a Ph.D. pharmacist who is an integral part of our team. Her specialization is instrumental in meticulously validating and overseeing the sourcing of herbs used in our products. Dr Ashani's expertise ensures that we adhere to the highest standards of authenticity and quality throughout our product development process. To further strengthen our commitment to authenticity, we implement a rigorous quality control process at every stage. From the sourcing of herbs to the formulation and manufacturing of our ayurvedic baby care products, we maintain stringent protocols to verify the authenticity and purity of each ingredient. In addition to our in-house expertise, we collaborate with reputable suppliers and herbal experts. This network allows us to stay informed about the latest developments in ayurvedic practices and ensures that the herbs we use are not only authentic but also of the highest quality. Authenticity at BabyOrgano is not just a buzzword, it is a principle that is embedded in our practices.

Can you elaborate on your commitment to empowering underprivileged women and how it is helping society?

At BabyOrgano, our commitment to empowering underprivileged women is not just a part of our ethos; it is a fundamental aspect of how we operate as a company. We firmly believe in the transformative power of women's empowerment and have taken concrete steps to make a positive impact on society.

One significant initiative that reflects our commitment is the establishment of a pharmacy that serves as a hub for the production of 70 per cent of our products. This pharmacy is more than just a manufacturing facility; it is a platform for underprivileged women to gain financial independence and autonomy. By providing employment opportunities to over 50 women, we contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty and creating a sense of empowerment within the community. Through meaningful employment, these women are not only able to support themselves but also contribute to the overall well-being of their families.

At BabyOrgano, we view women's empowerment as a powerful catalyst for societal progress. By creating a pathway to financial freedom for underprivileged women, we are actively participating in the larger narrative of positive change and inclusivity. This commitment is not just about our products; it's about making a lasting impact on the lives of the women who contribute to the success of BabyOrgano.
