Bengaluru-based Technovos Machinery Private Limited, a young company founded in November 2022, is making waves in the cleantech and agritech sectors. They specialize in developing sustainable mobility solutions for hyper-local commercial and agricultural applications. Led by CEO Bharath Anantha Srinivas, a seasoned entrepreneur with a passion for innovation, Technovos boasts a team of globally experienced industry leaders, engineers, and designers. Their focus lies in creating solutions that enhance labour productivity and efficiency across various industries.

"Since then, we've grown into a leading provider of innovative and sustainable machinery and equipment, and we're now setting our sights on revolutionizing the logistics and aviation industries," adds Bharath in an interview with Bizz Buzz

How has the company evolved over the years?

Over time, Technovos Machinery has experienced substantial changes. The company was first established with the goal of revolutionising India's infrastructure and construction industries. Since then, it has gradually increased the scope of its offerings and its products. From modest beginnings, we have developed into a reputable player in the machinery and equipment market, distinguished by our creativity, excellence, and dedication to sustainability. Now we want to revolutionize the logistics and aviation industry through our range of products like wheelbarrow. At present we are in the GTM (go-to-market) stage.

What are the products and solutions the company offers?

Our company specialises in providing tailored solutions for the construction, infrastructure development, logistics, and transportation sectors, while also catering to the diverse needs of other industries. Our signature products, such as the first electric wheelbarrow in India, GaadE, and the 2.3-ton mini excavator, exemplify our commitment to innovation and sustainability. GaadE, with its swappable battery system and autonomous capabilities, redefines material handling, offering versatility and efficiency for various applications while reducing environmental impact. Each of our products is meticulously designed to enhance productivity, efficiency, and sustainability in their respective fields of use.

Are your products available pan India? Which states is the company focussed on?

We are at present appointing and calling for dealerships across pan India. We are having discussions in Ranchi, Kolkata, Bangalore and Pune for setting up of dealerships. We are looking to setting up a dealership on a pan-India basis.

How would you describe sustainable mobility solutions for hyper-local application?

Utilising cutting-edge technologies and environmentally friendly methods to meet transportation needs in localised locations is the foundation of sustainable mobility solutions for hyper-local applications. In order to reduce environmental effects while improving mobility and accessibility for urban and peri-urban areas, this includes the development of electric vehicles, intelligent transportation systems, and effective logistical solutions.

Can you elaborate on building a clean energy manufacturing ecosystem?

Energy-efficient procedures, sustainable practices, and renewable energy sources must all be incorporated into the manufacturing value chain to create a clean energy manufacturing ecosystem. To lessen carbon footprint and improve operational sustainability, this includes implementing technologies like solar electricity, wind energy, and energy-efficient machinery. We hope to support a more environmentally conscious manufacturing sector and aid in environmental conservation by giving clean energy projects first priority.

What is the USP of your two products - 2.3-ton mini excavator and India’s first electric wheelbarrow, GaadE?

Our two main offerings, the GaadE and the 2.3-tonne mini excavator, provide clients with special value propositions:

Mini excavator 2.3 tonnes: This mini excavator is perfect for a variety of excavation and construction jobs since it combines strong performance with mobility. It stands out from other traditional excavators in its class because of its sturdy design, cutting-edge features, and simplicity of use.

The GaadE electric wheelbarrow is the first of its kind in India and is intended to transform material handling tasks in warehouses, construction sites, and other industrial environments. GaadE provides unparalleled versatility, efficiency, and sustainability with a 1-ton cargo capacity, swappable battery system, telematics connectivity, and autonomous capabilities.

Can you describe the electric wheelbarrow?

The electric wheelbarrow, known as GaadE, is a revolutionary innovation in material handling technology. Here is a summary of its main features:

Versatile use: GaadE is designed for a variety of material handling tasks in various industries, including construction, agriculture and warehouse.

Payload: Despite its small size, GaadE can carry heavy loads of up to 1 ton, reducing the need for manual labour and increasing work efficiency. The bucket is customizable to suit different applications and materials.

Replaceable battery system: It has an innovative swappable battery system that enables continuous operation by quickly replacing fully discharged batteries. This way there is no break of operations or machine working hours for battery charging.

Telematics integration: GaadE is equipped with advanced telematics technology that enables real-time tracking, monitoring and remote diagnostics for optimal fleet management.

Autonomy: With autonomous functions such as self-driving force and navigation, GaadE improves user safety, reduces fatigue and improves material general use efficiency.

What is the nature of grants from Karnataka government and Nidhi Prayas from SID, IISc?

We have received grants and support from government agencies such as government of Karnataka and Nidhi Prayas, SID, Indian Institute of Science (IISc). These initiatives aim to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability in the manufacturing sector through financial assistance, mentoring and access to resources to promising startups and companies like us.

What is your export strategy?

We have got a few enquiries from the Middle East and we are working on setting up of local manufacturing and assembly for GaadE. We are also developing local component sourcing to have better and competitive product costing in the export market.

What are your future plans like setting up manufacturing islands and PAN India dealerships/after-sales service centers?

Our future plans include: Establishment of production islands equipped with modern facilities and sustainable practices to improve production capacity, efficiency and quality; establishment of PAN India distributors and service centers to ensure wide availability, customer support and satisfaction of our products and solutions.

We are constantly innovating and diversifying our product range to meet changing market needs, technological advances and sustainability challenges in the machinery and equipment industry.

We have an MoU with Australian based Edge Products for manufacturing and marketing of their high performance ATVs for local and export market. We are working on developing the 4WD ATV for special applications.

Finally, Technovos Machinery is committed to promoting innovation, sustainability and excellence in the machinery and equipment industry, as we develop, expand and positively impact industries and communities around the world. Automated wheelbarrows are also in the pipeline after EV wheel barrow.
