Bank of Baroda and Reliance Jio launch ‘bob World Lite’ digital banking app

Reliance Jio and Bank of Baroda have launched bob World Lite. It is a mobile banking app designed particularly for feature phone users.
The app is really pre-installed on the JioPhone Prima 4G. It is part of a broader initiative to develop digital banking access across India. It is mainly in areas where smartphones are less extensive.
The Bob World Lite app has been created with a lightweight design to assist feature phone users with restricted hardware capabilities. It gives keypad-based navigation and is designed for low bandwidth usage. It makes it appropriate for users in semi-urban and rural areas.
Users can find services like the UPI-enabled Scan and Pay, bill payments, sending money, mobile recharges, and profile management. The companies said extra features are hoped to be added in future updates.

The digital payments ecosystem will come pre-installed on new JioPhone Prima 4G devices. Present users can download it from the JioStore. The platform is offered for both Bank of Baroda customers and users of other banks through a self-onboarding procedure.
