On November 22, the BSE Sensex crashed 1,170.12 points to close at 58,465.89, while the Nifty50 fell 348 points to 17,416.50 and formed large bearish candle on the daily charts.
According to pivot charts, the key support levels for the Nifty are placed at 17,196.27, followed by 16,975.94. If the index moves up, the key resistance levels to watch out for are 17,721.07 and 18,025.53.
US Markets
The S&P 500 ended lower and the Nasdaq tumbled deep into negative territory on Monday after both earlier hit record highs following the announcement of a second term for Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended slightly higher.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.05% to end at 35,619.25 points, while the S&P 500 lost 0.32% to 4,682.94. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 1.26% to 15,854.76.
The S&P 500 value index climbed 0.6%, strongly outperforming the S&P 500 growth index's 1% dip.
Asian Markets
Asian Markets are trading mostly lower with Hang Seng down over 1 percent, and Kospi index down 0.55 percent. The Taiwan Weighted index down 0.3 percent.
SGX Nifty
Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a lower opening for the index in India with a 72.50 points loss. The Nifty futures were trading at 17,373.50 on the Singaporean Exchange around 07:40 hours IST.
CLOSING BELL
Domestic benchmark indices recouped losses and turned green in the dying hours of trade on Tuesday. Broader markets outperformed. Bank Nifty ended 0.39% higher.
Trimming gains
Sensex was down from highs but still in the green, minutes ahead of the closing bell. Nifty was below 17500.
Paytm shares surge nearly 12%
Paytm parent One97 Communications' shares traded 11.6 percent higher at Rs 1,517.9 apiece on BSE in late afternoon deals. At the current level, the stock quoted at a discount of 29.4 percent to its issue price after a series of losses following its weak debut.
India will release five mbpd of crude oil from its emergency stocks to cool prices, news agency Press Trust of India reported.
Sensex and Nifty were seen trimming opening losses on Tuesday as the benchmark indices attempted a pullback. Sensex was above 58,400 levels while Nifty 50 turned positive above 17,440.

Midcap, Smallcap indices outperform
Smallcap and midcap indices on NSE were outperforming benchmark Nifty 50 on Tuesday. While Nifty traded with losses, Midcap and Smallcap indices were up in the green.

Paytm parent One97 Communications' shares were up 4.8 percent at Rs 1,425.5 apiece on BSE, rebounding after a series of losses following its weak listing.
Latent View Analytics makes strong debut, shares list at 169% premium over issue price
Latent View Analytics' shares made a strong market debut on Tuesday. On BSE, the stock of Chennai-based data analytics company Latent View listed at Rs 530 apiece, a premium of 169 percent over the issue price of Rs 197. On NSE, Latent View shares began their secondary market journey at Rs 512.2, a premium of 160 percent.
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) net sold shares worth Rs 3,438.76 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net bought shares worth Rs 2,051.18 crore in the Indian equity market on November 22, as per provisional data available on the NSE.
