Cabinet approves PLI scheme for telecom equipment

New Delhi, Feb 17 The Union cabinet on Wednesday approved the production linked incentive (PLI) for manufacturing of telecom equipment in India.

Accordingly, the scheme offers a incentive to boost domestic manufacturing and attract large investments in production of telecom equipment.

The aim of the scheme is to promote local manufacturing and reduce import dependence.
