When people hear the name HYDRA, it strikes fear in the hearts of those involved in illegal activities. HYDRA is actively dismantling illegal structures built on ponds and canals under the GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation). The FTL (Full Tank Level) is clearing illegal constructions encroaching on drains and ponds within the buffer zones.

Recently, even buildings belonging to celebrities have been demolished. The state government, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, has decided to bolster HYDRA's efforts due to the positive public response to its activities.

Officials from the Revenue, Irrigation, and Municipal departments are issuing notices and identifying illegal constructions on ponds and canals. The government plans to unify all these departments under the HYDRA umbrella in the near future. Although HYDRA is currently demolishing structures without prior notice, it has been decided that future actions will be preceded by notices issued in HYDRA's name.

To ensure there are no legal complications, the Telangana state government has decided to form a special committee and introduce a new GO (Government Order) to protect the Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar reservoirs. The government is also focused on securing sufficient manpower for HYDRA's operations.
