Hyderabad Fire Tragedy: Eight Dead After Blaze at Gulzar House, Charminar Area

A devastating fire broke out early Sunday morning in the Charminar police station area of Hyderabad, claiming the lives of eight people, including two children, two women, and three men. The incident occurred at Gulzar House, reportedly triggered by an AC compressor explosion on the first floor of the building.

What Happened?

According to officials, the fire erupted suddenly, trapping over 15 people inside the building. Thick smoke engulfed the area, causing panic among nearby residents. Locals immediately alerted the fire department, which rushed to the scene with multiple fire engines. Despite swift action, three people were declared dead at the scene, and five more succumbed to injuries at local hospitals, including Yashoda Hospital, Apollo, and DRDO Hospital in Malakpet.

Fire and police personnel conducted extensive rescue operations. The fire was eventually brought under control, but several victims sustained severe injuries, with doctors stating that a few are in critical condition. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the cause of the explosion and fire.

Union Minister Kishan Reddy visited the site to assess the situation. He met with the families of the deceased and injured, offering condolences and assuring government support. "We stand by the victims and will ensure proper help and justice," he said.
