Hyderabad: In a landmark event blending global beauty, purpose, and healthcare innovation, AIG Hospitals in Hyderabad welcomed 37 international delegates from the 72nd Miss World Festival. The visit formed part of a global initiative to spotlight Telangana’s growing prominence in medical tourism and healthcare innovation. The delegation featured contestants from across Africa, Europe, and Asia—many of whom are doctors, nurses, psychologists, or medical students—from countries such as Guadeloupe, Turkey, Wales, Bosnia, Puerto Rico, Belgium, Guatemala, Lebanon, Malaysia, Poland, France, Northern Ireland, Guyana, and Malta.

During their visit, the Miss World participants toured AIG’s cutting-edge medical infrastructure, including its globally acclaimed Endoscopy Suites, AI and Innovation Centre, Clinical Skill Lab, Research Lab, and Oncology and Pediatric care units. The immersive experience highlighted India’s technological advances in healthcare and emphasised the human touch behind medical excellence.

Dr D Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman of AIG Hospitals, welcomed the delegation and remarked, “Hosting the Miss World 2025 delegation underscores Hyderabad’s growing status as a premier destination for world-class medical care. At AIG, we merge compassionate care with groundbreaking research and innovation. This visit validates our global standing and reflects the human spirit at the heart of Indian healthcare.”

The Miss World Organisation hailed the event as “a powerful exchange of compassion and global understanding, where beauty met purpose, empowering global health and well-being.”

Several contestants were deeply moved by the visit. Miss Poland, Maja Klajda, a psychology student, remarked, “I never expected to see such advanced infrastructure and holistic care in one place. AIG Hospitals surpasses even many European standards. It’s been a truly eye-opening experience.”

Miss Zimbabwe, Courtney Tadiwanashe Jongwe, said, “Back home, we dream of facilities like these. The technology here is incredible, but what touched me most was the kindness of the doctors. I’m inspired to help bring this level of care to my country.”

Miss Malaysia, Saroop Roshi, whose family includes several medical professionals, added, “I’ve visited hospitals across Asia, but AIG is on a different level. The AI Centre and Endoscopy units are world-class. I’m genuinely considering applying for an internship here.”
