Telangana Road Accident: 17 Dead, Including Infant, in Chevella After Lorry Rams RTC Bus
At least 17 people, including a three-month-old girl, were killed in a major road accident near Chevella, Telangana, after a lorry traveling on the wrong side rammed into an RTC bus.

A horror accident staged in Chevella of Telangana killed seventeen people, including a three-month-old infant, on Monday morning, 3rd November 2025. The fatal accident reportedly happened at 7.30 a.m. on Vikarabad-Hyderabad stretch near Mirjaguda-Khanapur Road when a speeding lorry rammed into a TGSRTC bus while trying to overtake a two-wheeler.
As per Cyberabad Police, sixteen of the victims died on the spot, and the rest died of injuries. A senior police officer said, "So far, 17 fatalities have been confirmed." The bodies were moved to Area Hospital, Chevella, for post-mortem.
Lorry Went on Wrong Side, Caused Head-On Collision
Initial investigations showed that the TG06T3879 lorry was going on the wrong side of the road and had had a head-on collision with the RTC bus going the other way with registration number TS34 TA 6354.
The collision was so violent that passengers trapped inside said bus-now-a-rubble. Police and rescue teams then hurried to the scene to clear away the debris and rescue those trapped inside. The injured were being rushed to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment.
Traffic Disruption and CM's Response
The highway was closed to traffic for about two hours after this accident. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed his deep sorrow for the occurrence and directed his officers to see that the injured were transported from Hyderabad for advanced treatment.
Now, after a thorough investigation by the authorities, attempts have been made to discover the exact reasons for the accident, whether the driver was negligent or driving at an excessive speed.
