Telangana is likely to see moderate rainfall in several parts over the next 48 hours, according to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TGDPS). The latest weather model indicates rainfall activity continuing across many districts through September 4.
The forecast issued Tuesday morning shows that between 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, scattered rainfall is expected in districts including Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Mulugu, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Sangareddy, and Jogulamba Gadwal. Areas in northern and eastern Telangana are projected to receive higher rainfall intensity, while several southern districts may see lighter spells.
For the following period, from 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday to 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, weather models show rain persisting but in reduced intensity, with Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and parts of Nirmal and Mulugu districts likely to record showers. The rest of the state may experience light rainfall or dry conditions.
Meteorological maps released by TGDPS indicate rainfall ranging between 0.3 mm and 20.5 mm in most regions. Isolated locations could receive heavier downpours during this period, particularly in the northern and eastern districts.
