Telangana Local Body Elections Notification Released — Nominations Begin!

The State Election Commission of Telangana has officially released the notification for the much-awaited local body elections. This includes MPTC, ZPTC, and Panchayat elections, which will be conducted in multiple phases across the state.

MPTC and ZPTC Elections

Total Seats: 565 ZPTC and 5,749 MPTC

Phases: Two phases

First Phase (October 2025):

Seats: 292 ZPTC and 2,963 MPTC

Nomination Deposit:

ZPTC: ₹5,000 (general), ₹2,500 (reserved)

MPTC: ₹2,500 (general), ₹1,250 (reserved)

Nomination Filing: October 9–11

Scrutiny: October 12

Withdrawal: October 15

Polling: October 23

Counting & Result: November 11

Second Phase:

Nomination Filing: October 13–15

Scrutiny: October 16

Withdrawal: October 19

Polling: October 27

Panchayat Elections

Elections for Gram Panchayat Sarpanch and Ward Members will be held in three phases, covering 12,733 Sarpanch and 1,12,288 Ward seats.

Polling: October 31 (morning)

Counting & Result: October 31 (evening)

Nominations: October 21–23
