Hyderabad: Srivani, the spiritual and literary forum of Sri City hosted a discourse on the Gajendra Moksham episode from Srimad Bhagavata Purana. Renowned scholar Brahmasri Kota Rajasekhar, (ashtavadhani) from Nellore delivered the talk. Sri City’s official release said that Gajendra Moksham, a story from the Srimad Bhagavata Purana, narrates the struggle of Gajendra, the elephant king, against a powerful crocodile, symbolising the soul’s battle against material existence. Kota Rajasekhar emphasised Gajendra’s surrender to Lord Vishnu as a metaphor for the individual soul seeking refuge in the Supreme Soul, urging people to recognise their limitations and seek divine power.

The struggle between Gajendra and the crocodile symbolises the eternal battle between desires and true nature, teaching that detachment from desires leads to liberation. This timeless story offers wisdom that transcends ages, imparting lessons of resilience, faith, and the transformative power of devotion, the release mentioned.
