Skill Training Centers In Every District: Sridhar Babu

Young India Skills University is being set up in line with global standards to bridge the gap between academia and industry, thereby generating employment for the Telangana youth -- Duddilla Sridhar Babu, IT and Industry Minister

Hyderabad: Telangana government will set up skills training centers in every district headquarter as part of ‘Young India Skills University,’ said Duddilla Sridhar Babu, IT and Industry Minister, while saying that the move will make Telangana a center of excellence in skill development.

The minister reviewed the progress of construction at the permanent campus of the university located in Meerkhanpet of Kandukur mandal in Ranga Reddy district on Tuesday. In the initial phase, academic blocks, laboratories, hostels, and the Vice-Chancellor’s office will be made operational at the Meerkhanpet campus, with formal inauguration scheduled for December 9 of this year, he said. Following the site inspection, he held a review meeting with contractor representatives and concerned officials, directing them to ensure timely completion of the project.

On the occasion, Sridhar Babu emphasised that the ‘Young India Skills University’ is being set up in line with international standards to bridge the gap between academia and industry, thereby generating employment opportunities for the youth of Telangana.
