Hyderabad: Life sciences real estate provider Rx Propellant inaugurated 3GV, a multi-tenant, IFC-Edge advanced certified Life Sciences facility, at Genome Valley in Hyderabad. The 1.5 lakh sqft facility, with an investment of Rs 105 crore, can accommodate over 1,000 people and provides lab spaces tailored for companies of all sizes.
D Sridhar Babu, Industries Minister, Government of Telangana inaugurated the new facility. He later participated in the Vision Forum, part of the Genome Valley Connect 2024 event, where he engaged with nearly 60 industry leaders. During the event, the minister launched the blueprint and logo for the Hyderabad International Life Sciences Square (HILS), a 300-acre international life sciences corridor in Genome Valley phase-2.
Speaking on the occasion, Sridhar Babu said, “Genome Valley is lighting the way for our ambitions, with HILS ushering in a new era for the life sciences ecosystem. It will be a launchpad for international giants, driving innovation and collaboration. These state-of-the-art facilities are not just about building infrastructure…they are about creating a future where Telangana leads the way in life sciences and draws new investments from international companies.”
At the inauguration of 3GV, Milind Ravi, CEO, Rx Propellant, highlighted the facility’s green credentials: “Achieving the world’s first IFC-Edge Advanced certification for a life sciences building reflects our focus on sustainability and innovation. With 41 per cent less energy consumption, 87 per cent reduced water usage, and a 25 per cent decrease in embodied carbon compared to conventional buildings, 3GV sets a new standard for environmentally responsible infrastructure.”
Vishal Goel, Managing Director of Rx Propellant, discussed the company’s role in HILS, noting that it will continue to provide well-equipped spaces for scientific communities.
