Rain Alert for Hyderabad! Northern Zones Could See Heavier Showers

TGDP forecast predicts light rainfall in Hyderabad till Sept 4, with northern zones like Balanagar seeing up to 15.6 mm. Central areas remain light rain.

The Telangana State Development and Planning Department’s TGDP rainfall forecast indicates light rainfall across Hyderabad over the next two days. The forecast covers the period from 8:30 a.m. on September 2 to 8:30 a.m. on September 4.

According to the 48-hour forecast valid until 8:30 a.m. on September 3, the majority of GHMC zones are expected to receive rainfall ranging from 0.3 mm to 2.5 mm. Areas including Serlingampally, Jubilee Hills, Madhapur, and Hitech City are under a low-intensity rainfall alert. No region is projected to experience heavy or moderate rainfall during this period.

The subsequent 72-hour forecast, extending until 8:30 a.m. on September 4, shows a slight increase in rainfall in northern parts of the city, particularly around Balanagar and Qutbullapur. These zones could witness rainfall reaching 15.6 mm, while the central and southern areas, including Banjara Hills, LB Nagar, and Hitech City, are expected to continue receiving light rainfall.
