Oaktree Capital Opens New Office In Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Oaktree Capital Management, LP., which is into alternative investments space, inaugurated its new office in HITEC City in Hyderabad, as part of its growing footprint in India. This strategic expansion highlights the company’s commitment to the Indian market and its recognition of the region's vast talent pool. The new office will serve as a hub to attract, retain, and nurture local talent, while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders across the globe.

Howard Marks, Co-Chairman of Oaktree, expressed enthusiasm about the company’s move to Hyderabad, emphasizing the city’s vibrant business ecosystem and skilled workforce. “Oaktree Hyderabad represents our commitment to operational excellence and our confidence in the immense opportunities India offers,” he said. Ajay Maddali has been appointed as the Human Resources Director for the Hyderabad office. The Hyderabad office is Oaktree’s second in India, following the opening of the Mumbai office in 2023, led by Gaurav Parasrampuria, Head of Asia for Oaktree’s Global Opportunistic Strategy. With 24 offices globally, including nine in the Asia Pacific region.
