Telangana is set to experience intense rainfall over the next two days as a cyclonic depression advances across the region. Meteorological officials warned of continuous moderate to heavy showers throughout Friday, intensifying during the night.

Authorities have issued rainfall alerts for several districts, including Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Nalgonda, Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, and Jogulamba Gadwal. The red-marked areas face the highest risk of flooding due to prolonged downpours.

Weather experts indicated that the evening and overnight period is likely to witness peak rainfall activity, with heavy showers leading to waterlogging in low-lying areas. The persistent precipitation is attributed to the developing depression, which is expected to sustain rainfall across Telangana for the next two days.

Officials have urged residents to exercise caution, avoid waterlogged roads, and follow local advisories. Emergency response teams remain on alert to manage potential flooding and ensure public safety.

The Meteorological Department also highlighted that northern districts such as Adilabad and Mancherial may experience localized heavy rains, while central and southern regions, including Hyderabad and Nalgonda, can expect widespread showers.
