New Critical Care Unit set up in Adilabad's RIMS

Hyderabad: Union Minister of Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy, along with Telangana Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, officially opened the Critical Care Unit at RIMS in Adilabad on Friday. The new 50-bed critical care facility has been established at a cost of Rs23.75 crore and is part of the Prime Minister's Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission program. The building features advanced medical equipment. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said the newly inaugurated Critical Care Unit at RIMS will provide improved intensive care (ICU) and super-specialty services to patients in critical condition. He stated that this will eliminate the need for patients to travel to Hyderabad or other cities for emergency treatment. Jupally Krishna Rao said that a new chapter has begun in the history of Telangana's healthcare sector. He stated that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction of the historic Osmania Hospital in Hyderabad at a massive cost of Rs2,700 crore, with state-of-the-art facilities.
