The Telangana State Development and Planning Services (TGDPS) has released rainfall forecasts for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area, predicting light rainfall across several city zones over the next 72 hours.

The 24-hour forecast from 8:30 am on September 9 to 8:30 am on September 10 shows that neighborhoods including Malkajgiri, Uppal, Osmania University, and Hayatnagar may experience light rainfall. Areas such as Gajularamaram, Quthbullapur, and Alwal in the northern sectors of Hyderabad are also expected to receive minor rainfall during this period.

For the subsequent 48-hour period, from 8:30 am on September 10 to 8:30 am on September 11, the rainfall coverage expands, with zones including Serlingampally, Khairtabad, Amberpet, Malakpet, Saroornagar, Rajendranagar, and BN Reddy forecasted to receive light precipitation. The intensity remains low, but several parts of western, southern, and eastern Hyderabad may see rain accumulation reaching 2.5 mm.

The 72-hour forecast, valid from 8:30 am on September 11 to 8:30 am on September 12, indicates that light rainfall will continue, particularly affecting northern and eastern districts such as Gajularamaram , Quthbullapur, Alwal, Kukatpally, Malkajgiri, Kapra, Secunderabad, Osmania University, and Uppal. Southern and central regions are likely to experience reduced rainfall during this period.
