Telangana authorities issued a series of color-coded rainfall alerts covering July 22, 23 and 24 to guide district administrations and residents on expected rain activity.
On July 22, the India Meteorological Department placed northern districts Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial and Kumuram Bheem under a red warning, indicating very heavy rainfall. Eastern districts including Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Mahabubabad were on orange alert for heavy rain. The remaining districts fell under a yellow watch, advising close monitoring, while no area was classified green for safe conditions.
By July 23, the red warning area was lifted. Northern districts shifted to an orange alert. Eastern districts and several central zones maintained an orange alert. All other districts remained on yellow watch, with a green status still unassigned.
On July 24, rainfall intensity eased further. No district carried a red warning or orange alert. Most districts, including Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Nalgonda and Medak, were under yellow watch. A green status indicating normal conditions was not issued statewide.
