Hyderabad: Dr Ravishankar Polisetty, a cardiac surgeon turned translational Ayurvedic researcher, said a Health City project in Hyderabad is on cards, which will facilitate advanced innovation in healthcare and medical science.

Dr Polisetty has been appointed a representative of the Association of National Green and Climate Councils (ANGCC), a global organisation dedicated to building healthy cities worldwide.

“Smart Cities can benefit from data-driven, holistic healthcare as it can gather crucial information and offer comprehensive solutions by synergizing traditional systems like Ayurveda with modern medicine. This integration can help us go beyond symptomatic treatments and devise strategies to prevent health issues before they arise,” said Dr Polisetty on his plans for Smart Health City.

Dr Polisetty further said that developing a comprehensive health ecosystem like Health Smart City, where various stakeholders can collaborate, will provide intelligent oversight addressing all health-contributing factors, preventive measures, and remedies, thereby bringing meaningful change in the public health system.

Initially, a manufacturing facility will be set up to provide modern equipment for Poly Scientific Ayurvedic care, and the Health Smart City development will be undertaken in a phased manner.
