IIIT Hyd’s Smart City Living Lab Bags Award At IMC
IIIT Hyderabad’s Smart City Living Lab receiving the award at India Mobile Congress 2024

Hyderabad: IIIT Hyderabad’s Smart City Living Lab, an initiative of Smart City research centre said it has been recognised as the “Best Education Institute Exhibit of the Year,” at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) exhibition held in Delhi recently.
At the 8th edition of India Mobile Congress, international delegates from diverse sectors such as member states, standardisation bodies, industries, academia, and startups were present. IIIT
Hyderabad led by Dr Aftab Hussain showcased live demos of three solutions that address present smart city problems. The solutions include Wi-SUN (Wireless Smart Ubiquitous/ Utility Network) based RF-Mesh Network, City IoT operating Platform (ctOP), and Digital Twin for Water Utility Networks (DTWN).
“We are delighted to receive this award, which reflects our efforts to transform the educational landscape through technology. The Smart City Living Lab team and faculty members have played an essential role in making this success possible,” said Anuradha Vattem, Chief Technology Architect, Smart City Living Lab-IIITH.
“We have been attending the IMC for the past three years and we have seen its growth first hand,” added Dr Aftab Hussain.
