Hyderabad under Yellow Alert
Continuous downpour grips Hyderabad due to Cyclone Montha. IMD warns of heavy rain, waterlogging, and gusty winds in several parts of the city.

Since early hours,Hyderabad has been witnessing persistent downpour under the influence of Cyclone Montha. The India Meteorological Department - Hyderabad issued yellow alert for the day.
According to the forecast, generally cloudy sky is expected with light to Moderate Rain or Thundershowers at times intense spells at a few places accompanied with Gusty winds (30-40 kmph). Mist/Hazy conditions very likely to prevail during morning / night hours. Surface winds are likely to be Northerlies/North-Westerlies with wind speeds 08-12 kmph.
The impact expected include water pooling on roads and low lying areas in few/many locations, traffic congestion at many locations, wet and slippery roads, electricity, water and other social disturbances for few hours, and drainage clogging.
