Hyderabad rains: 100mm Rain Hits Serilingampally, Jubilee Hills in Just One Hour
Hyderabad saw intense rains on Thursday evening. Serilingampally, Shaikpet, and Rajendranagar recorded over 100mm rainfall in just one hour.

Several mandals in and around Hyderabad experienced intense rainfall in a short span on Thursday, with some locations recording over 100 mm in just an hour.
The highest recorded rainfall was in Serilingampally, which received 123.5 mm by 8 PM, according to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society. Close behind were Jubilee Hills with 111.3 mm, Khairatabad with 108.5 mm, and Saroornagar at 106 mm. Yousufguda recorded 104 mm rain.
These intense downpours, concentrated in the city and surrounding areas, led to localized flooding in low-lying zones. In Medchal-Malkajgiri district, Uppal mandal recorded 95.5 mm, while LB Nagar and Hayatnagar followed with 93 mm and 83.3 mm, respectively.
Emergency response teams remain on alert in vulnerable mandals to manage urban flooding.
