As thousands of devotees prepare to attend the Sri Jagadamba Mahankali Golconda Bonalu 2025 celebrations, the Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory to manage congestion and ensure public safety.
Traffic Restrictions from June 26 to July 24
The advisory will be enforced on nine key dates — June 26 (first pooja), 29 (second), and July 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, and 24 — with restrictions in place from 8 AM to 11 PM.
Routes Likely to Experience Heavy Traffic
Traffic congestion is expected near Golconda Fort, particularly on these routes:
- Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort via Makkai Darwaza
- Langar Houz to Golconda Fort via Fateh Darwaza
- Shaikpet Nala and Seven Tombs to Golconda Fort via Banjara Darwaza
The public is advised to avoid these routes and opt for alternative travel paths during peak hours to prevent delays.
Designated Parking Areas for Devotees
To streamline vehicular movement and facilitate access to the fort, the police have designated parking spots based on the route taken:
Via Ramdevguda (Makkai Darwaza):
- Two-wheelers: Ashoor Khana to Army Sentry Post
- Four-wheelers: Artillery Centre and Ashoor Khana parking zones
- Note: SETWIN buses will only be allowed up to Ashoor Khana
Via Langar Houz (Fateh Darwaza):
- Two-wheelers: MCH Park, Golconda Bus Stop, Al Hira School
- Four-wheelers: Area Hospital, Golconda
Via Shaikpet (Banjara Darwaza):
- Four-wheelers: Hockey Ground, Owaisi Ground, Deccan Park near Seven Tombs
- Two-wheelers: Golf Club Road by-lane
Devotees are urged to park only in the designated areas and walk to the fort. The traffic police have requested public cooperation in maintaining order at parking zones.
