Hyderabad on Yellow Alert: Heavy Rain to Hit City Until Saturday

The India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad has issued a yellow alert for the city, warning residents of heavy rainfall and strong winds over the next three days. The city is expected to experience intermittent thundershowers and gusty winds ranging from 30 to 40 kmph.
Till Saturday, the city will witness predominantly cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rainfall predicted. Meteorologists have forecasted that the rainfall may result in water accumulation on roads and low-lying areas, creating localized traffic disruptions.
Authorities have highlighted potential hazards including slippery roads, tree and electric pole damage, and short-term interruptions to electricity and water supply. Drainage blockages are also anticipated in certain sectors.
The Municipal Corporation has advised residents to limit outdoor travel and stay updated with weather alerts. Necessary actions to remove water from flooded areas and maintain public safety are being coordinated.
