The India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad has placed the city under a yellow alert for the next four days, with light to moderate rainfall expected across most areas.
According to the weather forecast by Telangana Development Planning Society, rainfall activity will begin Tuesday morning and continue through September 5. The forecast indicates varying rainfall intensity across the city’s zones, with the highest likelihood of showers in Serilingampally, Quthbullapur, Chandanagar, and parts of Kukatpally over the next 24 hours.
The 24-hour forecast, valid from 8:30 a.m. on September 2 to 8:30 a.m. on September 3, highlights isolated zones in yellow, suggesting localised rain activity. The 48-hour projection, covering September 3–4, indicates broader rain coverage across all Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) zones. The 72-hour outlook, valid until the morning of September 5, shows a reduction in rainfall intensity, although showers are still likely.
